About the Nutritional Wellness Center of South Jersey

Integrative & Functional Medicine in South Jersey

The Nutritional Wellness Center of South Jersey is an integrative health clinic dedicated to helping individuals restore balance, improve energy, and achieve long-term wellness by addressing the root causes of chronic health conditions.

Our clinic combines functional medicine, clinical nutrition, acupuncture, regenerative therapies, and advanced diagnostic testing to create personalized treatment strategies designed to support the body’s natural ability to heal.

We serve patients throughout South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia region, helping individuals overcome chronic health challenges and move toward optimal health and vitality.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, our approach focuses on identifying the underlying physiological, nutritional, and lifestyle factors that contribute to health imbalances.

Our Philosophy of Care

At the Nutritional Wellness Center of South Jersey, we believe that true healing occurs when the body’s systems are restored to balance.

Many chronic health concerns develop gradually due to factors such as:

  • chronic inflammation

  • nutritional deficiencies

  • hormonal imbalance

  • digestive dysfunction

  • nervous system stress

Our goal is to identify these contributing factors and develop a personalized care plan that supports long-term healing and overall wellness.

Through a comprehensive and individualized approach, we help patients improve their health while supporting the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

What We Treat

Acupuncture

Acupuncture helps support nervous system balance, circulation, pain relief, and overall wellness by stimulating the body’s natural healing responses.

Functional Nutrition

Personalized nutrition programs are designed to improve metabolic health, digestive function, hormone balance, and overall vitality.

Advanced Diagnostic Testing

Comprehensive laboratory testing and physiological assessments help identify metabolic, hormonal, and nutritional imbalances that may contribute to chronic health concerns.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive regenerative treatment used to support healing of chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as plantar fasciitis, knee pain, shoulder injuries, and sciatica.

Nervous System & Stress Testing

Advanced technologies are used to evaluate autonomic nervous system function, cardiovascular stress responses, and overall nervous system balance.

Emotional Wellness & Counseling

Mind-body approaches help individuals address emotional stress patterns and improve mental and emotional well-being.

What We Treat

Personalized Care for Every Patient

Every patient who visits the clinic receives an individualized evaluation designed to understand the complete picture of their health.

Our care approach focuses on:

  • identifying root causes of symptoms

  • developing personalized nutrition and treatment strategies

  • supporting nervous system balance

  • improving metabolic and hormonal health

  • reducing inflammation and chronic stress

This personalized approach allows us to address complex health challenges while supporting long-term healing and improved quality of life.

Jocelyn S. Flay, DAc, MAc, LAc, Dipl. Ac
Doctor of Acupuncture, Reiki Master & Teacher

In 2010, Dr. Flay experienced a profound shift in consciousness after receiving a Reiki attunement that revealed the deep interconnectedness of all beings and our natural, innate ability to heal. This pivotal experience inspired her to begin a lifelong journey into holistic healing, studying various modalities including energy medicine, yoga, nutrition, applied kinesiology (muscle testing), and East Asian medicine.

Dr. Flay believes deeply in the body’s innate capacity to heal—down to the cellular and subatomic level—and in our ability to expand into greater spiritual awareness. She supports her patients in reconnecting with their own healing potential, tapping into the universal life force, and awakening to their true nature.

Using an integration of Acupuncture, Holistic and Chinese medicine modalities, and Reiki (Divine Life-Force Energy), Dr. Flay works with the body’s natural healing system to promote circulation, and reduce inflammation and pain. This supports the nervous system to regulate, restore energetic balance, and promote overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Flay views life as a creative expression. She enjoys continually learning, spending time with her family, playing like a kid with her stepson, being in nature, gardening, and reading.

Front Desk Administrator at Nutrition & Acupuncture Wellness Center

Samantha Rentner
Front Desk Administrator

Sam has been told her whole life by multiple doctors that what she was dealing with was eczema, and that she should just “deal with” the fact that she had “bad skin,” but Dr. Inselberg told her otherwise. He was the first doctor to even try to address the root causes of her skin issues and other symptoms that she had grown so accustomed to that were thought of as normal. Little did she know that these ailments would lead her to NWC where she learned that she has a passion for nutrition and guiding people to be their best self physically, mentally and spiritually.

She earned her Associates Degree in Biological Sciences from Mercer County Community College and is currently working on her Bachelor’s at Rowan University. She also received her Level 1 Reiki Certification from Dr. Flay. Outside of work and school, Sam enjoys watching movies, rock climbing, spending time in nature and crocheting.

Rebecca LaPointe, LMT

After completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training, Rebecca decided to go back to school to further her education, curiosity, and knowledge about the human body. In 2024, she enrolled as a massage therapy student at the Center for the Healing Arts in Voorhees, NJ where she completed a 600-hour hybrid program.

After she completed the program in May 2025, she prepared to make a move out west to Sun Valley, Idaho to work as a massage therapist and yoga instructor. In the small resort town of Sun Valley, she worked full time at a luxury health club and fitness center that centered wholly upon full body health, vitality, and wellness. Her massage specialties include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, Prenatal, Sports, and Hot Stone Massage. The town she lived in was home to many health-conscious residents and athletes that live their lives based on movement and holistic health. She is an intuitive massage therapist that enjoys taking the time to listen to and address each client’s individual needs and concerns in order to promote nervous system regulation, muscle recovery, and overall stress relief.

Outside of massage, she enjoys strength training, running, cooking, reading, napping with her cats, road trips, and spending time outside.
